I'm glad someone else hates Hardee's/Carl Jr's commercials as much as me.

I've been checking out more "Target Women" videos, and this reminds me of my reaction to a recent Hardee's commercial that I complain about every time I see it. Thanks for summing up my feelings, Sarah.

I looked up the Hardee's Thickburger commercial I have such a problem with. What do you guys think? Is really necessary for her to raise her dress to wipe off her leg? I think not. The tagline "More than just a piece of meat" really bothers me, too. No thanks, Padma and Hardees. No thanks.

  1. I share in your opinion about this stupid Hardees commercial...no one who eats hardees watches top chef, so they most likely have no idea who she is...and the first half is totally pointless! but i guess it makes a little more sense than paris hilton's carl's jr ad right?

  2. So then, it's OK to objectify women as long as women don't see it? I know plenty of men who are offended by these commercials (and others just like them) as well. It's ads like this that add to a collective consciousness of dehumanizing women, which is not good for anyone. People need to think more critically about the advertisements they see, but advertisers have a part in this too. I think it's pretty obvious that it is irresponsible to produce advertisements that dehumanize any group of people. But, what do I know? I'm just a girl.

  3. She's the piece of meat in the eyes of the advertisers. This is one offensive commercial.

  4. I don't understand. I don't see anything offensive or sexist about this commercial. This commercial is nothing more than a top chef showing her love for a big juicy hunk of beef.

By the way, any man that doesn't like this commercial is gay.

  5. I just realized what was REALLY on the Hardees' commercials... Lol. It's kinda crazy that I liked the commercials until now.

    But...
I don't know, I think I still might like them.
