Hilarious Dawn Commercial from the 80s
Thank you twitter and @digg_2000 for providing inspiration for this blog post. For those you that don't know, digg.com has a twitter that posts articles that get 2000 "diggs." And this must mean they are interesting. Just like this ad from the 80s.
What do you think she is saying? That's some reward for washing a few dishes. I can't fully understand a single thing she says. And what is she holding? This whole ad is just hilarious.

She's talking about a good catch ... then it ends with her saying something that sounds wrong ... which I am sure is not what was being said but now comes across in an inappropriate way (based on the way it sounds her mouth should be washed out with Dawn). I wish we knew what the script really has her saying!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like she's holding some type of cooking utensil - something like what you would use for grilling.
I did a little research (via youtube comments haha) and she's holding a fishing pole. And someone thought she could be saying "Ya wanna go, John," but it could be dubbed over. The user that posted the video says he first saw this in a film at his college in '95. Way before youtube!
